The Role of Systemic Management Innovations
Join Randy Sa’d, Executive Director of REFOCUS and the Flourishing Enterprise Institute, as he discusses the challenges municipalities face with complex issues and the role of Systemic Management Innovations in addressing them.
Unlike traditional, siloed management practices focused on finances and short-term goals, Randy will introduce the Enterprise Evolution program aimed at transitioning municipalities towards systemic management for addressing complex challenges. He will share insights from applying this approach in Kitchener, Ontario for a 20-year vision and strategic planning and in Nanaimo, BC to measure sustainability performance, noting Nanaimo’s pioneering adoption of the Doughnut Economics model.
Attendees will learn about the Municipalities Adapting in Response to Complexity (MARC) partnership, co-founded with the ICLEI World Secretariat, which fosters transdisciplinary collaboration among municipalities, NGOs, academics, and innovators for transformative solutions, including the Enterprise Evolution Program.
