Energy Poverty
Please join Energize Bridgewater’s Meghan Doucette for Energy Poverty on Thursday, May 16, online from 1:00 – 2:00 PM MDT.
Meghan is a planner and community builder based on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. She leads communications and engagement within the Energize Bridgewater team at the Town of Bridgewater, and supports program design and delivery to help reduce the rate of energy poverty in the community.
In addition to energy retrofit programming, Meghan is passionate about increasing low-carbon mobility options for residents, with a focus on encouraging safe walking, rolling, and cycling infrastructure. She takes an equity-based approach to support residents to access what they need.
Meghan completed her Master of Urban Planning at McGill University in 2019 and her Bachelor of Management, with a major in Environment, Sustainability and Society at Dalhousie University in 2015.
