Prairie Net-Zero Communities Accelerator Working Group

We are honoured to have presenting this month on community energy and emissions planning our speakers Peter Robinson, the Community Energy Association’s Director of Climate Planning & Research, and Katherine McDougall, Climate Analyst with CEA.

Peter’s CEA experience includes delivering 58 Community and 21 Corporate Energy & Emissions Plans, creating and updating energy & emissions inventories, and being a Research Advisor for Community Energy Planning: Getting to Implementation in Canada and numerous publications. Peter has also helped local BC governments with implementing energy efficiency actions & policies in their communities.

Katherine supports communities through energy & emission inventories, modelling, analysis, research, and writing. Her previous work and background has focused on alternative energy. She brings to the Community Energy Association a wide variety of skills and knowledge, including lifecycle assessments, energy audits, and HOT2000 software experience.

This presentation is particularly tailored to our municipalities in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, but will also cover general community energy and emissions planning, providing knowledge beneficial for all QUEST Canada participating communities.
