Charging Ahead Together: Municipal Fleet Electrification in New Brunswick

March 31 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm ADT

Join us online for the next meeting of our New Brunswick Net-Zero Communities Accelerator Program Working Group

Municipalities across New Brunswick are advancing important work on climate action, energy transition, and building resilient local infrastructure. As part of this effort, many communities are exploring opportunities to electrify municipal vehicle fleets as a pathway to reduce emissions, lower long-term operating costs, and modernize public infrastructure.

However, at the same time, municipalities are navigating practical questions related to fleet transition planning, charging infrastructure, procurement processes, and operational readiness. These challenges can be particularly pronounced for smaller and rural municipalities, where geographic distance, infrastructure limitations, and resource constraints can make fleet electrification more complex.

Charging Ahead Together: Municipal Fleet Electrification in New Brunswick

In partnership with Clean Foundation, QUEST Canada’s one-hour workshop – March 31st from 2:30 pm-3:30 pm Atlantic Time – will create a collaborative learning space for municipal staff, technical experts, and regional partners to explore practical approaches to municipal fleet electrification.

The session will focus on sharing lessons learned, identifying common barriers, and highlighting strategies that can support municipalities as they plan and implement fleet transitions.
