Sudbury, Ontario – On August 26, QUEST – Quality Urban Energy Systems of Tomorrow – participated at the Energy and Mines Ministers’ Conference, August 24-26, in Sudbury, Ontario. Sustainable development for Remote and Northern Communities, as featured by QUEST North, were one focus of the 2014 conference, while it generally emphasized the responsible and efficient use of resources. QUEST staff met with senior government representatives from Nova Scotia, Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon, N.W.T, Nunavut, and the Government of Canada to brief them on the key issues of importance for advancing smart energy communities. Staff also participated in a panel session, Innovation in Energy and Mining, which took place during EMMC and a summary of the session was presented to the Ministers.
