Access to Consumption Data: An IESO Presentation

In this joint meeting with Clean Air Partnership’s Clean Air Council members and QUEST’s Ontario Community Energy and Climate (ON-CEC) Working Group, IESO will discuss access to electricity consumption data by interested municipalities.

The presentation follows a decision of the Ontario Energy Board, through which last year the IESO made consumption data collected from more than five million residential and small general service (<50kW) smart meters installed across the province available to Canadian Governmental Entities, including local municipalities.

The IESO’s Smart Metering Entity is looking to discuss this opportunity further, given its value and potential to inform the development of local and regional community energy/climate change action plans and programs.
