BUILDING ON SUCCESS SINCE 2015

W

60+ participants engaged.

W

Developed a network that provided a unified and respected voice in Nova Scotia on the environmental performance of buildings.

W

Convened stakeholders around priority issues and acted as a central resource for information gathering and sharing on energy management in buildings with presentations from BC Hydro on the BC Energy Step Code, Simptek on Efficiency as a Competitive Advantage, etc.

Buildings are responsible for about 13 per cent of greenhouse gas emissions in Nova Scotia.

Energy-efficient buildings last longer, perform better, cost less to run and require less maintenance. They are also safer, healthier and more comfortable for residents and tenants.

Investments in energy efficiency produce more jobs per dollar spent than any other energy sector.
