SUMMARY:An Online Train-the-Trainer Session in Thermal Energy Networks
DESCRIPTION:Join us online June 10 for a TENs Train-the-Trainer SessionThermal Energy Networks are gaining momentum in Canada\, with over 250 systems already in place\, particularly in urban centers and northern communities. But despite this promise\, TENs serve only 3% of our heating demand. \nFor thermal energy networks to emerge as a critical strategy for community-scale building decarbonization in Canada\, there’s an immediate need for knowledgeable regional trainers who can champion\, advise\, and build support in local stakeholders. \nDesigned for regional delivery partners who have relationships with municipalities\, First Nations\, utilities or building sector players\, and the ability to deliver capacity-building and follow-up support\, the training session will: \n\nEquip participants with a clear understanding of TENs fundamentals and their Canadian context.\nEnable trainers to deliver TENs regional presentations and support for their own networks.\nTeach participants how to use and adapt BDA’s TENs deliverables (whitepaper and toolkit) to local needs.\nBegin the creation of a self-sustaining TENs ecosystem where knowledge spreads through regional networks.\nConnect trainers across regions to share lessons learned and keep advancing Thermal Energy Network projects.\n\nThe Benefits \nThis online Train-the-Trainer session aims to equip regional partner representatives\, intermediary organization champions\, and other potential trainers with the knowledge and tools to work with established local partnerships and networks\, and build their awareness and self-confidence to carry TENs education and build support out in their own jurisdictions. \nTrainers will come away armed with a clear understanding of the extent of TENs’ potential\, the techno-economic opportunities present\, and ways to integrate best-practice approaches into municipal\, provincial and federal regulations\, and First Nations’ ways of life. \n				Register for the June 10 TENS Train-the-Trainer Session\n			\n				Understand the Potential of TENs in Canada
