QUEST Welcomes Helen Platis To The Team
Ottawa, Ontario – November 6, 2017. Today, QUEST announced that Helen Platis has joined the organization.
“We are thrilled that Helen has joined the QUEST team,” said Brent Gilmour, QUEST’s Executive Director. “Bringing over 20 years of dynamic leadership and experience cultivating relationships with key personnel to QUEST, Helen’s role is to lead our business development activities and ensure QUEST subscribers are receiving maximum value for their participation.”
Having previously held senior roles with Stantec, SKY Solar Canada, Direct Energy and Union Gas, Ms. Platis is well positioned to assess the needs of the Smart Energy Communities marketplace and play an instrumental role in helping QUEST achieve its vision of every community in Canada being a Smart Energy Community by 2030.
There are over 400 communities across Canada representing more than 50 percent of the population working towards becoming Smart Energy Communities. Smart Energy Communities prioritize energy efficiency, integrate conventional energy networks, harness local energy opportunities, and make smart land-use and transportation decisions, and in doing so, improve energy efficiency, enhance reliability, cut costs, and reduce emissions.
“Having participated in QUEST activities in my previous roles, I now look forward to working directly with the QUEST team.” said Ms. Platis. “Like QUEST, I personally believe that how we effectively address the way we move, use and produce energy at the community level is critical to our nation-wide effort to meet our energy and GHG objectives.”
