Webinar: The Economic Impact of Community Energy Plans

juillet 15 @ 1:00 pm - 14h00 EDT

How Implementing Community Energy Planning Creates Jobs

Join Rob Kerr, an independent consultant and a QUEST Senior Associate, to learn more about the economic impact of community energy planning.

Communities, and their municipal governments across Canada, will struggle to renew their post-pandemic economies in the years to come. Transitioning to Communautés d'énergie intelligentes through the implementation of community energy plans is a vital part of community recovery.

In this webinar Rob will outline the importance of community energy planning and how the implementation of community energy plans can create jobs in three ways:

  1. Retaining Energy Dollars in the Community through Energy Efficiency
  2. Attracting Investment in Local Energy Infrastructure
  3. Attracting Major Actors in the Transitioning Energy Economy

Rob will also bring insights from a recent QUEST New Brunswick research project that set out to examine the local economic benefits of implementing community energy plans in New Brunswick.
